^ I'll have to some photo-updates soon Gateway Corners is finished, and pretty much so is River Commons. Work is still progressing on the Transportation Center.

Have lots of pictures from this year's Aviation Exploration Day, which I should theoretically be posting sometimes soon.

Aviation Day Part 1

Ok, here we go. This is going to be PART 1 of of the photo report, since there are lots of images, I have to sort through and toss bad ones, duplicate views, etc.

1: LifeFlight Helicopter on display, with crew standing by

2: Just one of the regular commercial flights passing by (Probably NWA/Delta flight to Detroit)

3: Spectators watching:

4: Another Com Air (Continental Connection to Newark/Liberty).

The line for plane rides was heeeuge by the time I got there. Fortunately for me, the planes used, can only 3 passengers besides the pilot, and most people came in groups of three or two. So if there was a group of 2 going up, the attendants would walk along the line, asking if there is anyone going by themselves. I got to skip to the front of the line after not too long of a wait. Short briefing, and up we go.

5. SWB Yankees Stadium, Cinema. This was the view almost immediately after takeo ff

6: Dunmoore, I-81, some Scranton residential neighborhood

7: Central Scranton from the air.

If anyone wants, here is a high resolution version (3072x2304)

8: Closer.

9: Had to toss a lot of close shots, unfortunately. Very hard to keep zoomed camera stable with own hands in an airplane that's bobbling everywhere with the wing. Most turned out like this:

10: PA Turnpike. Old Forge, Keyzer Avenue Toll Plaza. What a tiny little toy cars

13: Pittston City. Downtown is in the middle right.

14: Fuel Depots on Suscon Road (and a dirty side window too)

15: After landing, here is a view of the passenger terminal.

17: The old terminal with control tower.

25. While performing all the necessary checklists, the US Airways plane created quite a backlog of aircraft waiting for takeoff

26:

I boarded our second excursion flight shortly after that, so a very scenic part 3 coming up
