Sure thing
It doesn’t have a name right now, but I can picture it best in Arizona. It takes on the sort of vibrant, and vertical urban core that Phoenix never had while maintaining a mostly modern/ postmodern skyline; atypical of most Sun Belt cities such as Los Angeles, Dallas, and Houston. Now I decided to put a small river through the downtown area before I knew exactly where I wanted this city to be set. There for, I will cover that up by saying that it was a man made river created in the sixties. (I know Phoenix is actually doing something like this at the moment so It’s not all that far fetched.)
This art deco tower was built in the thirties and remained the tallest until 1984 when One Arizona Place was finished.
This art deco tower was built after its taller cousin a couple blocks away, so it never got to be a tallest. However it was the second tallest until the sixties, and as you can see, the design in attributed to the Tower Life building in San Antonio.
This complex has an interesting history. It was originally just the shorter tower minus the slanted roof back in 1972. However, in 1993 a prominent tech company bought the tower along with the rest of the block. They then decided to add the slanted roof along with a taller twin. During the tech bust in the early 2000’s the company was able to stay afloat and still remains a strong presence today.
Other than that the city has a large film industry as well as a tourist industry. It is home to its share of fortune 500 companies, and with a growing university, it maintains a young cosmopolitan feel.
that will be the last major update for now, as I will be away from my computer for the rest of the week, but I'll try to check in every now and then for questions or whatever.
Hope you enjoy
