Thanks guys!

Small update:
since 1986 the State Bank Tower has been the tallest in the city at 959' 9" leaving the city without a 1000' tower.

Now, skyscraper nuts all over the city have been spreading rumers for years and years about on again off again pieces of information. Well apparently a grainy picture depicting a massing model of what seems to be a possible new tallest has been leaked.

I'm in the dark on this one
Anybody know anything about this? I'm skeptical...

Sure thing

It doesn’t have a name right now, but I can picture it best in Arizona. It takes on the sort of vibrant, and vertical urban core that Phoenix never had while maintaining a mostly modern/ postmodern skyline; atypical of most Sun Belt cities such as Los Angeles, Dallas, and Houston. Now I decided to put a small river through the downtown area before I knew exactly where I wanted this city to be set. There for, I will cover that up by saying that it was a man made river created in the sixties. (I know Phoenix is actually doing something like this at the moment so It’s not all that far fetched.)

This art deco tower was built in the thirties and remained the tallest until 1984 when One Arizona Place was finished.

This art deco tower was built after its taller cousin a couple blocks away, so it never got to be a tallest. However it was the second tallest until the sixties, and as you can see, the design in attributed to the Tower Life building in San Antonio.

This complex has an interesting history. It was originally just the shorter tower minus the slanted roof back in 1972. However, in 1993 a prominent tech company bought the tower along with the rest of the block. They then decided to add the slanted roof along with a taller twin. During the tech bust in the early 2000’s the company was able to stay afloat and still remains a strong presence today.

Other than that the city has a large film industry as well as a tourist industry. It is home to its share of fortune 500 companies, and with a growing university, it maintains a young cosmopolitan feel.

that will be the last major update for now, as I will be away from my computer for the rest of the week, but I'll try to check in every now and then for questions or whatever.

Hope you enjoy

Well I've been busy for a while but I think that it's time for an update. Over the past few weeks I have been slowely filling in random empty blocks, so here is the result.

Two condominium towers near the university containing ground floor retail, and great views.

A performing arts center for the university:

One very bland football stadium:

A new convention center for the city with possible room for expansion:

And finnally, to add to the rumer concerning a possible new tallest... a local blogger took this photo of site planners? congregating on the alleged site. If you will notice the logo on the truck, pro uban is a premier real estate presence in this city. There for if anyone was to concieve a new tallest, it would be them...
