A Long December in Detroit

This is my first thread with my new camera, a Canon Rebel Xti, so please forgive some of the quality as I was being quite experimental to learn how this new baby operates. This should be my last Detroit thread of the year as I will be in Chicago next weekend and south Florida over New Years!

Enjoy!

I see Erica has made her forum debut.

Hooray for Noel Night!

The fountain at Cranbrook remains one of my area favorites.

Nice start with your new camera. They'll only get better from here on!

I see you saved the best picture for last. Those Dearborn folks are lucky with that view.

MGM isn't looking half bad. In fact, I'd say it's looking better than half good.

But, the WSU shot is also tied as my favorite:

Thumbs up

One of the coolest holiday pics I've ever seen.

You forgot to mention that these were taken from Dearborn. Damn good photography I might add.

Thanks for the comments.

The shots from Dearborn were taken from the Hyatt Regency near Fairlane - quite a view it offers!

I figured as much. I can see ABC Wharehouse, they have some really good deals there. Name brand stuff with 30-50 percent off of everything everday.

I also like this pic. Rough neighborhood, I know, I grew up in that general area. So I suppose you can call that sign ironic ?
