BURN K-DOE BURN!

I know what lies between the two. Shit, I know Desire better than all y'all... I knocked it down before Katrina had her chance.

Your thread has a cool vibe to it, the weather playing a big part in that. What is the hideous LEGO-esque building on the left with the multi-story box sitting on top of it?

^ Ha! I always said that it looks like it is made of Legos... people just thought I was weird.

That's the Plaza Tower... tallest in LA when it was built as offices and residential condos. It was vacant for a while when I last was down there... probably still is. It is late 1960s crap... terrible construction quality... always had problems with leaks, mold, elevators. I think it was planned to be turned into new condos after a massive asbestos removal... not sure if that's happening still.

Great thread. New Orleans looks bad in some areas, but looks so nice in others. It's an interesting city no doubt.

Funny. It's definitely not the prettiest building around, but I've always thought it was kind of interesting in a strange way. I actually based one of my own Lego skyscrapers loosely on its design.

quite an interesting look at nola...i've seen some of the run down stuff in pictures but wow how much you showed made it seem quite bleak (of course i know not all nola is bleak). it looks like philadelphia...or what i've seen in pictures, except i haven't seen so much grit in philly, although i'm sure there is. thank you for quite the interesting and very different look at the town! definitely very very interesting.

Great thread! You were in some of the roughest hoods in town, but some of the nicest people you'll ever meet live there.
