Also one picture in Taichung.
I surprised by how small is the train station for a big city like that.
I know that there are other stations in Taichung but this is the historic central station.

Taiwan by tony | on Flickr

Minato Ku, I love the old train stations of Taiwan. Most of them are being replaced around the island with large new ones - and, for example in Taitung, they keep the old station as a public space.

Thanks for these! I will be there in three weeks and hopefully it will be a bit warmer than during the past week.

How well does one get by with English in there? Most texts in these photos are in Cantonese.

These are some of my photos of Tainan, taken on January 2, four weeks before the earthquake that devastated the city.

The wall of the Fengshen Temple (Wind God Temple 風神廟) in the final photo was destroyed in the quake. May the victims rest in peace.

The wall in the photo above was destroyed in the quake.

A shame about the Earthquake

Taipei looks massive from those areal shots!

Great ones mate!
