Man, I never realized how massive the retail podium really is. That's insane! And by contrast, the footprint of the "Corset" tower (previous name, I'm too lazy to look up the new address) is borderline anemic! Pun fully intended...

^ Yeah, once all of these towers have risen a couple of hundred feet, the feel for how much massive construction is going on will be more clear.

I believe you are talking about 360 10th Ave., the SHoP designed supertall that will rise just to the east of the Coach tower...we haven't seen a design yet.

Of course, I love the chaos. That's what makes NY fun and unique. The chaotic, spazzed out, virulent like nature of the streets. Amongst the skyscrapers, on the seafloor, lie plankton with Santa Claus hats. Puking at 10 a.m. due to Jameson and Dos Equis. Never mix!!! I did get to see some mammaries on the cold, 38 degree day. Courtesy of walking by Times Square to check out the hotel u/c there (701 7th Avenue).

Ah, New York. I love it, even though it brings out the weird side of people. I remember walking down 8th Avenue one time and this dude was handing out playing cards insisting that he was just "a funny black dude, totally not armed." That, and the Theater District looks more like Las Vegas sometimes.

Is it actually legal for women to be topless in New York, or do they just do it and get away with it?

You know, if Hudson Yards becomes the major retail/transportation center they want it to be, it's going to be a magnet for all of the weird and kooky things New York tends to attract in general.

They have to have body paint, but yesterday, one was wearing a fur coat with nothing on and taking pics with people passing by. She'd obviously open it up, as to not make it totally obvious. I thought it was body paint, but upon further inspection, it was not.

And the thing is, there's like little kids nearby, and husbands are looking. Wives were not happy...

It's massive, but the two towers directly north (50 Hudson, the Spiral) will be even more massive, those towers will not taper like 30 Hudson, giving some very large floorplates.

It's really impressive to see this neighborhood of skyscrapers all rise up, isn't it. Imagine when they're all taller, and it's a major piece of the skyline... a dozen towers of glass, all with steel and cranes rising out of the top... that'll be a very impressive site.

I mean, it would have been cool if the Olympics had actually come to the West Side, but this is nice as well.

I think in the end, we came out better for not having it.

The design for this particular version has come a long way also.

If we were building a 2,000 ft tower for the skyline's sake, it would need to be further in, towards the middle of the island. These buildings will be huge.
