Cincinnati, Oh

I am trying to visit many cities this year I have never been too. I finally hit Cincinnati this past weekend. I had all intentions to leaving and got a hotel on-line last Wednesday. I worked flex time, where I had all 40 hours done by Thursday Afternoon, but got sick and had a stomach virus Thursday night. I really considered not going, but decided to do it anyways. I still was able to drive around and visit the hoods and downtown of Cincy. After thinking about it, I got more neighborhood visiting done then I would have if I would have went there and got drunk and hung over instead..........

Back to the Kentucky side to drink Pepto bismol

Thanks for looking at my thread

Yeah, hangovers suck. But the photos don't.

And you mean Cincinnati,...

Wow!

Cincy has got it going ON with the architecture. Those buildings really speak of a different time, and illustrate what was once unfettered ambition. No joke...that was like a sensory overload. Oh, and the film look!

Love it! Not sure when my next trip to Cincy will be, but I always enjoy going there to visit one of my closest friends who lives in Newport.

Thank you everybody. I was going to do the famous skyscraperpage food shot of Skyline chilli. I bought a 4 way with noddles and took them back to my hotel. Remember, I was sick as shit and drinking bottles of pepto.................not a good idea for skyline chilli.............I was too sick to even want to take the shot.

Most of the architecture in Over-the-Rhine is Italianate.

Damm, kick ass Vernacular, Italianate, Victorian and especially Art Deco. That close up of the Art Deco tower is incredible. Just added Cincinnati to my list of "Must Visit". Great tour and wonderful shots!

Sick to your stomach? My first guess was skyline chili was somehow involved....

But great pics. Insane architecture in Cincy.
