Continuing on from my last photo thread
Calgary is bouncing back here are some recent photos.
The city of Calgary and area towns are still recovering and rebuilding from the June flood which has become the most expensive natural disaster in Canadian history. While life goes on as usual for most people like me, there are many still struggling to rebuild their lives.
A large temporary camp has just opened in the city's SE industrial area to house some of the flood victims.
The Sheep creek was one of many streams on the eastern slopes of the Rockies that flooded.

Sundial medicine wheel is an ancient spiritual site located on top of a high tree-less hill. East of Carmangay in the middle of nowhere!

The Saddledome was badly damaged by flooding in June. It was a race to get the arena ready for the Flames' season home opener in September.

Wurst is one of many restaurants and businesses still closed from the June flood. Many apartment buildings and houses are still not habitable.
I have a friend whose home is being torn down because of flood damage and she has decided to re-build. She loves being on the river and knows the consequences.
