recently in portland, oregon

i was thinking the other day how i haven't really been taking many photos recently, but then i realized this back pain was from carrying
around a heavy ass camera bag and that no, i have, i just haven't been editing and processing them. i did that one mount tabor thing,
but otherwise, the last portland thread i posted was in july. here's a little bit of catching up, the soundtrack provided by my new wife.
i can't wait till she finds out!

smorgasbortland time. getcha bib and dig in, fatty.

Stunning once again! You put together one beautiful thread. Gorgeous colors, gorgeous people shots, gorgeous city we have here -- and you capture it wonderfully.

amazing set. I love all the life you were able to capture. Portland's lucky to have you

PS - are you booing Norm MacDonald or just his hat?

Norm in Portland? That's like a sitcom waiting to happen.

the norm macdonald thing was pretty funny (appropriately enough). this was the day after roy halladay beat tim lincecum to force a game 6 of the NLCS, so being the proper phillies fan i am, when i saw the giants hat i wanted to make eye contact and give a "we're not done yet" nod, but then i saw it was him and said "hey norm, nice hat." (sekkle, i was only booing his hat -- i've always been a fan of his.) we had a brief conversation about baseball and portland, and he asked me if i wanted to take a picture since i already had my camera out taking pics downtown. so we did, and the guy who took our photo was his opener that evening at helium comedy club. really great show.

nineties flava: i got my first camera for my 10th birthday and i'm going on 35, so i've been toting one around for a good quarter century now.

expat: heh heh, boston chicken. i worked for them for exactly two days in a past life.

thanks everyone!

Well ain't THAT some sh*t.

I welcome the return of the Killer Mutant Deranged Stray Kitties (Portland Chapter)

With Opening Day just 4 days away, you must be lamenting the loss of the Portland Beavers (though Ichiro and his Mariner mates are just a bit away).
