^Yeah, it's a pretty dazzling apartment complex in a great neighborhood with good views and kicky residents. It's called Lime. This is their website. It ain't cheap though. $1250-$2805 a month. This is definitely one of the places where the pretty people live. Along with other pricey Uptown / Lyn-Lake neighborhood buildings like Blue, Flux, Track 29 and the Walkway.

Some of these are apartments that "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it." They are all in the general range of $1200 for a small studio to $3400 for the penthouses. That's a damn chunk of change, although it is cheap compared to some coastal cities. But it's close to the top of the line for the Midwest apart from Chicago. Minneapolis' most expensive rents are downtown. Probably LPM is among the top rentals.

Real great pics.Thanks

Is Minnie like a larger version of our Winnipeg geographically as well as culturally? I know that Winnipeg is a strong cultural mecca, and I get the impression that Minneapolis is as well.

You capture EVERYTHING I love (and miss) about living down in Minneapolis. I had to return to International Falls, MN about 9 years ago because I simply couldn't afford it down in Mpls. What's interesting, to me - as someone who was down there between the ages of 18-27 - is looking at downtown today (I lived on Nicollet & Grant - Loring Towers - the cheap studios) and I see what I knew would happen. Minneapolis is now reserved for the best and brightest, the masters degreed or higher with lots of disposable income and no credit limits.

For a long time I resented that from up here (International Falls, being 315 miles north of Minneapolis with our house being literally the last house you pass by before entering the toll bridge to Canada Customs, is seen as 'the end of the line'). Nobody up here could ever afford to live in Minneapolis or even Duluth has become unaffordable because their vacancy rate is so low especially when the Universities are in session. But I still remember all those places in your photos, and fondly. I'll be down there next month to run the Twin Cities Marathon and hopefully this year I'll have some time to look around downtown a little. Thanks for posting!!

Minneapolis is a very attractive city. I've heard good things about the city, but haven't seen that much of it in pictures, so thanks for the tour.

Minneapolis is basically Winnipeg on steroids (and warmer).
