That white metal looks like crap. Hope they coat it black like in the renderings.

Come on Tor2Ott, have a little faith. This is the Charlesfort we are talking about. Nothing they do looks like crap.

Just in: New occupancy date: April 7. Sigh...when does this end???

And coincidentally enough, the delay is due to "some of the complicated architectural details of the building". There you have it 333fun555. These delays better not result in anything that looks "like crap" as you predicted.

Thanks for the pics...this building is still going up fairly fast...and I'm sure they are going to hit the 9th or 10th floor by christmas since they have the forms up for the 7th already.

Your occupancy date is getting closer to mine (I am in HP ll). I went through those delays before and trust me, it's all worth it ones you move in, even if you have to put up with some crap.
I talked to Charlsefort people and they convinced me that HP ll won't have any delays (Lesson learned on HP l).

I hope that PHII will be close to completion by the time I move in so I don't have to bear with the crane and hammerings. And I don't have to wait too long to see the park in Hudson Park.

And again, I really hope they change the canopy to black. The white sticks out like a sore thumb.

BBQ Ph 1

Hello everyone,

I am still supposed to me moving on Jan 8, 09....and I feel we need to believe in Charlefort's capabilities. It will all work out nicely, and I am sure anything like "white" part that looks crappy will be worked out, it's probably a coating or film that comes off like on the hood of a new car, you know what I mean?

This summer, I agree we could organize a BBQ, I am already planning one with a few of my friends! It would great to meet you all and to enjoy the final product! Just think about it's amazing stuff we are watching, just crazy amazing and I know I will love it! Have a little more faith...think positive thoughts you'll see it will all come together perfectly!

Bren

Be sure to take tons of pics of your new place, Bren! And don't forget to post them here.

I'm sure you'll have an amazing view.

Looks like a Starbucks marketing poster. I can't imagine them doing too much work with it being so cold.

I'm down for a rooftop BBQ. Are we allowed alcoholic beverages up there? I definitely won't mind inviting Harls for some BBQ. It's going to have to be in one of the summer days though.

I guess the condo board has to set the rules for what we can bring to the rooftop. Anyone on here running for the board? If I'm correct I think the board also chooses the condo management company and allocate the funds with the help of accountants and lawyers of course.

I read on the Ottawa Citizen that other condos actually set up a website for the condo where residence can post ideas, opinions, etc.

Haha, I was just kiddin' about the BBQ, but hey, I'd be up for it.

Here's another killer aerial shot from southfacing on flickr - (Nov. 30)

Hey, if harls doesn't want to go to the BBQ, I'll gladly go in his place.

Sales for Phase I and II have hit the wall the past couple of months. Guess even Ottawa buyers are getting a little cautious with the economic uncertainties.

I have noticed that too. They sold so many in spring, but last several months, nothing. There are still 8 for sale in Phase l and 37 in Phase ll. That is not bad considering that 200 are already sold.
