downtown Phoenix on a lazy summer day...

Yesterday, I had occasion to take the light rail downtown to complete a business transaction, so I brought my camera along to experience the sights:

Bonus: A pan I shot about a month ago from a hotel in east Phoenix:

Good shots of DT.

What's up with the grass in the park? Looks bad.

Great shots as always Don. The sky always looks cooler in your photos for some reason. Did you ignore the Jellyfish on purpose? Seems like you sorta danced around it.

Nah, thats not it. Every office park and building in the city has lawns and they all look pristine. I think its a lack of city funds that can't keep the grass up to snuff, or maybe its being over used, Im not entirely sure. But Ive definitely noticed gross, crunchy, yellow grass on public property and deep green, thick, shag carpeting esque grass on private property. Its a sad state of affairs.

Its probably winter grass, which of course goes away come the summer.

That said, dig the photos. Which hotel was that last shot taken from?

Nice pano shot at the end!! Phoenix needs a significant highrise!! I guess those cluster of buildings to the right are just suburban office parks??
