You know the more I look at Devon Tower the more it fits into the OKC skyline. At first it sort of looked out of place, now its starting to blend well with the other towers.

So, two questions:

1. The green/blue LED lights are only on the bottom portion of the tower, and only on one side (or all three "notches" of the building?)

2. The red aircraft warning lights - are they solid state, or do they flash/pulsate?

Thanks!

perfection, absolute, perfection. this is what i love to see, instead of some boring, failure. this one has all the bells and whistles. i love the led's as well. the glass is perfect, the metal cladding is perfect. the entire shape of the structure is perfect. and on and on. haha

Two answers:

1. The LED lights will be in all three "notches" and go all the way up, they're just testing them more towards the bottom so far, and will also be in the crown (upside down triangles).

2. The aircraft warning lights are a solid state and do not flash.

=)

really impressed by this tower and how it came out but i think the LEDs will cheapen it and look tacky.

good for OKC!

I liked the idea of the LED lights at first, but I'm liking them less and less now. I'll wait 'till its finished for my final judgement.

Beautiful tower. Congrats OKC, many cities would looooove to have this skyscraper. I've already imagined plucking it away from you guys and placing it somewhere on the East side of Midtown Manhattan.

Wow, last time I was in OKC, which was the summer of 2010, this beautiful building was just getting started and was a hole in the ground. Id love to drive up there again and see it completed. Its so massive compared to the rest of the skyline.

this is the exact type of project that i am keeping my fingers crossed and hopping Imperial Oil will build in Calgary soon, very soon i hope. as for the led's, i think they work just fine on this tower. being the only tower around that is anywhere near its epic scale, the led's just add to the draw of the tower itself and that is what they really wanted now isn't it.

"this is us, we are Ðevon".

this tower is Ðevon's biggest image maker and it speaks volumes about what kind of company they are. they are obliviously bullish and daring in an world economy that is plum filled with dullness.

So when the building opens up it is going to be a bout 1/3rd full, correct? Thinking Devon only has 2,500-3,000 employees currently. Havent heard of any plans to lease out the empty space, but im sure they will have to do something.

When the building opens up, only about 1/3 of the interior space will have been done; the building will only house Devon employees.

I had not been to the north side in 9 months to a year. Completely different looking. The parking garage elevators are all granite (marble?) and stainless steel. Very nice.

That tower looks absolutely amazing, even if it does overwhelm the skyline a good bit.
