A friend on Bowen Island came across this pic of FeLiX on her neighbour's Facebook page. FeLiX did a home invasion just as the neighbours were having a family birthday party so they put a party hat on him!

Felix is obviously very sociable.

Volunteering at the SPCA now. It involves cleaning one of the cats communal rooms but I get to mush and play with the cats whenever I want to. Doesn't get much better than that. :-)

A few of my (big) kitty, Sierra. He's pretty huge, just got weighed in at 14.8 lbs at the vet yesterday!

FeLiX loves nature 6 floors off the ground. I planted some oat grass for FeLiX and TaZ to chew on. We had heavy snow yesterday so spring isn't quite here yet.

We are fostering a mom cat and her 3 kittens. They were quite sick with upper respiratory problems but are much better now. Normally they are running around like crazy but when they sleep, it is usually in a heap and in all different ways. We had to remove the matress and box spring from the bed as we had to feed them every hour (they stopped nursing) and they hide under the bed.

This is the mom. We call her Daisy. She was a stray that we started feeding, found out she was nursing and followed her to find her kittens. She actually belonged to people (and I use the word losely ) that broke up. It was the woman's cat and she didn't want it so I guess being pregnant, he kicked her out. I don't know how anyone can be so cruel.

She is a very lovely and loving cat.

This is how she spends those extra-hot summer days - sprawled out on the wood floor by the A/C vents.
