Bram Stoker's Whitby

Bram Stoker found some of his inspiration for his novel Dracula while staying in Whitby North Yorkshire in 1890.

Very cool pictures! Whitby looks really cute.

Was this a day trip for you, and did you drive there, or take a train or coach?

Thanks mate
It's about a 3 hour drive from Liverpool , we stayed over I tried to book the previous weekend as it was Whitby goth weekend but everywhere was fully booked

Definitely not
That would infer his grave might be close and every nutter in the country would descend on the graveyard to start digging for him

I can see why. There is a bit of an atmosphere of dread about it, but in a good way; if that makes sense. Of course capturing it on a dreary day and at dusk sure adds to the allure. Outstanding pictures. Thank you for sharing.
