Bodden Town, Cayman Islands

Bodden Town is a village in the district of Bodden Town, one of the five districts on the island of Grand Cayman. The population of the entire district is around 15,000.

Bodden Town was the original capital of the Cayman Islands. However, this title had little meaning at the time, during the 1600s and 1700s, because there was no formal legislative assembly, since the Cayman Islands were administered by Jamaica.

The town once had a natural harbor, but was silted over from numerous hurricanes over the years. With the silting up of the harbor, trade shifted largely to Hog Sty Bay in George Town, which became the central business district of George Town, and the home to the legislative assembly.

Today, Bodden Town is a sleepy village, which contrasts with the large tourist areas of Seven Mile Beach in George Town and the West End

Nice pics! I don’t know why, but a lot of the hilt form looks like a tropical Saskatchewan to me!
