The skyline is not only going North/South but also stretching East/West. All it needs really is some more bulk in the Portlands and north of the Entertainment District.

Lake-Core is definitely the new big thing. You can see it will make Southcore look puny when/if it is construed.
Lake-Core? Where's that?

The name Lake-core is exclusively used by Caltrane.

Koops is bang on. It'll take a very long time, if ever, for skyscrapers to be uninterrupted from the lake to Eglinton. Midrises are still being built on several stretches.

Well, there is a solid midrise node at Summerhill and high rise nodes at Davisville and St. Clair. Even downtown there are areas of uninterrupted midrise-lowrise blocks.

Not hard to imagine the stretch on Yonge between Bloor and Summer hill getting some serious midrise action in the near future to better connect it with the towers to the North.

A screenshot of the area in question...

The area north of Bloor:

Nothing taller than 8 floors is missing. (That I know of, or can find)
There's a huge gap between Davenport and St. Clair, except for a couple of mid-rises beside my favorite LCBO, the old train station.

Yeah, the area between Summerhill and Bloor needs some solid mid-rise to have a decent urban connection to the core. But that's all that's really needed to connect the skyline from Bloor to Eglinton as you can see.
