I am huge into Europe. So, the thought of me naming one city in Europe as my favorite is hard.

If forced to choose then I would go with London. Other favorites are Dublin, Rome and Paris.

I have been to Paris, London, Madrid and Lisbon and liked them all. But there is just something special about Lisbon. It must be the setting. The river, the ocean, the light. A European version of San Fransisco. Beautiful magical city.

Its like a European version of San Fransisco but without the skyscrapers, so it does'nt have the artificial Americanised feel of the other cities i have visited. It is truly a Beautiful, unpretentious magical city. Peace

Never been to Europe, but I'll say what kind of things I like and let people who've been there tell me what city I should go to: Temperate climate, blue water, tall trees (mostly firs and pines), scenic mountains, clear air, good beer (I prefer ale over lager), good cheese, not too many insects, but not a sterile place; not too many tourists, but plenty of people from various places; slick modern buildings, strong and evocative ancient buildings, women who aren't stuck up, and people cosmopolitan enough that I'm in no danger of making an ass of myself by transgressing some obscure custom, but local enough to be unambiguously part of a different cultural world than my own. What European city is most like that?

Well thankfully I am in London as we speak and totally loving it!!! What an amazing city with infinite things to do. I am en route to Paris today though, and will get to spend a week there, versus only two days for London. Hopefully I can let you all know what I think when the trip concludes
