The #3 crane is the north most crane right now, even still, it will be moved right up along Wilshire, and be what we call a cruiser. Gonna climb up the northern exterior of the building. Yes... extremely tight fit in that core. As for steel erection. Id give it another month before the guys from Schuff Steel start hanging iron. Waiting on the formwork of the core to rise high enough so that our iron doesn't swing in taking out the whole thing, also waiting on imbeds (steel erection clips) to be welded that go in the concrete. Once its a go, id imagine two floors every ten days... faster if we didnt have to wait for the concrete guys to build their core. The columns that are in the hole now do not tie into the core, another column sits on top of those (ie. column splice) and those will have erection clips for iron to tie into the imbeds in the concrete core.

Ok sounds good. Do you know if the construction of crane #4 is visible above the core yet? It also looks like they poured concrete on top of the east 1/2 of the core today. Mabye we will see the next levels of rebar cages start to appear tomorrow, along with the raising of some of the internal forms.

Thanks for the information and images concerning the Wilshire/North face of the building, guys!

So according to this drawing:
http://www.wilshiregrandcenter.com/i...tdoorAreas.pdf

And this rendering:
http://www.wilshiregrandcenter.com/i...13-0717e_3.jpg

The Wilshire side of the building will not be completely flat, but it will be hard to recognize it's very small curve. Kind of interesting.

Yes there is a slight curve on the Wilshire side. I was downtown tonight with some friends. It was 11PM and there was a crew working installing rebar on level P3 and the crane was being used.
