Here are some shots from my annual trip to Haiti to visit family and participate in Carnival. It's always a spectacular time of year in Haiti as the temperature cools down to bearable and pleasant and the wild partying of Carnival ramps up. Places featured include Jacmel, Ti Mouillage, Bassin Bleu, Aux Cayes, Port Salut, and Port-a-Piment, among others.
Sak Passe! Recently had a good laugh when some of my Norwegian friends told me about "carnival" celebrations here. This thread is a good example of what Carnival is and should be, at least to somebody with Caribbean heritage and extensive living experience in Latin America.
Great pictures! Some of these are amazing. The one of the person sleeping with the beer in their hand would be a perfect marketing campaign. The girls running around the corner, and the kid on the colorful steps, are also spectacular.
Some of the best photos I have ever seen on this site, cheers.
