This is an awesome photo. It's like the reflection of the Chase Building in the pavement is supposed to signify a building belonging on that parking lot (which of course isn't there) instead of the cars at the bottom which are upside down as a sign of rejection. Too much?

lol, perhaps. But that looks like the Gulf Building to me, the granddaddy of Houston skyscrapers.

Yep. One of its past names was the Gulf Building. During the 70s it had a huge Gulf sign on the top, I believe it rotated also. But Chase Bank occupies the building now.

Right. I just rarely hear it referred to as such, I guess so as not to confuse anyone with the JP Morgan Chase Tower (tallest building in Houston today).
