The Tower Grove East neighborhood--another neighborhood named for a Victorian-era park
Bungalows in St. Louis's Southwest Garden neighborhood. The first three are pictures of "Hortus Court", a strange little development that a casual passer-by might easily overlook. The narrow, Dutch Colonial buildings in the court front a narrow sidewalk and extend back from Magnolia Street quite a bit. The second two pictures are homes in Gurney Court, a onetime private street.

A lot of those beautiful buildings I don't recall seeing. Hortus Court I've never seen for instance (even though I've walked past it across the street in the park). Did ya stop by Behrmann's on Meramec? I love Dutchtown.
Looks depressing to me, maybe because there is no sun. Perhaps once spring arrives and the trees & grass is green it looks better.
today and tomorrow its 50s and sunny, so its not that bad here. the midwest has a reputation for dreary winters, but st. louis gets a decent amount of sunny winter days, which rank amongst my favorite kinds of days all year. red brick and overcast can look heavy and somewhat bleak, sometimes ridiculously so, which is why i love it.
I drive by that Queen Anne on on South Grand (2nd pic from bottom) and I think that roof has the longest slope I've ever seen. St. Louis is really lucky to have so many thousands of sturdy old brick homes like those.
