Looks gorgeous in South Beach. I love the classic art-deco buildings.

Awesome thread. Can't get enough of S. Florida. The architecture is so unique to that area.

Thanks guys!

Isn't it considered the capital of art deco in US? I wonder how it stacks up against Havana, which i would kill to see!

Marcus the Art Deco district is considered the largest collection of Deco buildings in the US and possibly the world. The city is gearing up for the Memorial Day holiday next week when the "Urban Beach weekend" takes place and tens of thousands of rap & hip hop fans as well as artists gather for concerts & parties. Great pics!

Miami Beach is stunning. I wish they would make the streets one way and greatly expand the sidewalks and add palm trees, grass and plants running along them.

South Beach is indeed beautiful, I still remember walking through the Lincoln Rd mall and on the waterfront along with Washington Ave... good times. Nice thread, I wish it was longer though.

Oh God, I can't even look at it because I don't think I'm going this year. I'm swapping it for SXSW but I think that's O.K. It's still hard because I have an emotional attachment to old South Florida which sounds completely fucked up to some folks, but I've been going for several years now.

I met a NY artist in Miami who loved Miami who is no longer with us who changed my life. I'll always have soft spot for Noir-Oceana.

God it looks so good. Just walking down the sidewalk, sand in your crevices the worst complaint. Walking to the hidden dive-bar. Pale skin getting fucked the fuck up by the sky. The Frenchie sandwhich-spot. Best time of year, baby.

Nice pictures. The Art Deco there is great. Where is that building in the 9th picture? I don't remember seeing it in person.
