Gunnison Colorado...Just a Quickie!!

1. Central City, Colorado..The richest square mile on earth.
2. Black Hawk, Colorado, down the road..literally
3. Leadville, Colorado..The Two Mile High City
4. Buena Vista, Colorado..A Beautiful View

You'll have to forgive me here for two reasons!! (A.) I drove right by Salida Colorado and did not stop, and (B.) I did not do any justice to Gunnison.

The first reason was kind of obvious..for anyone that knows Salida, it's a very hip place that deserved a photoshoot. The town is very well maintained,
diverse in every way, and has one hell of a building stock. I skipped it for two reasons...(A.) Someone posted a very nice thread of Salida not too long ago
and I felt that there was no need to add to it, and (B.) I was kind of on a different mission while I was in Colorado and felt that I didn't have time to cover it,
plus I spent more time in Buena Vista than I originally planned. The second reason obviously..Gunnison was really more of a gas and grub stop than anything else.
Really, I planned to do a photoshoot anyway, because I thought.......the last time I went through Gunnison was back in 97 and for some reason I could have
sworn that Gunnison had a very large building stock of structures ranging from two to five stories high...my memory was apparently not as good as I thought,
or I mixed it up with a different town..(Salida perhaps). Sadly, I maybe spent a half hour shooting before leaving to my next destination..So here we go!!!

Gunnison is a growing town of just over 5800, as of 2010

Nice pictures, even if you were there for a short time.

A lot of the older buildings look as if they've had a modern take on them. Nice. 257 and 251 particularly struck my fancy. 257 because of how there was such a modern take, and 251 because of how it seems to have blended in nicely with a redevelopment sense of style.
