I was at Kelso today and was surprised at how big the skyline has grown in the 3 years since I was last there.....

I know they've tried to improve it but Nathan Phillips Square is still a bit of a bummer. City Hall itself is fantastic, though.

Even with the work they did, Nathan P. Square still looks to me like a missed opportunity. It should be grandiose and it just looks so sterile and unimaginative. It needs more public art, bigger fountains, trees, anything really beside concrete upon concrete.

The square is still a work in progress, specifically the greening aspects.

Every year I miss Doors Open because I run the Ottawa Marathon...but some year I'm going to stay in town just so I can get some photos. If anyone else has any good, rare shots of downtown feel free to post 'em!
