This is a really alluring image. Like the big city on the very edge of the world. Nice work!

Great thread with wonderful photos.

Does Fink & Sons still have that little 'driverless' train that crosses Elston (or is it Courtland)?
I remember the first time I saw it, I was coming home from the bars in the wee hours
and there was this strange little 'thing' with flashing lights all over it crossing the street.

At least I THINK I saw it. Hmmmmmm.

That place is so well landscaped you can hardly tell it's industrial.

Great stuff as usual. That Life's Too Short place is just weird all-around. I've been in it a couple times (admittedly many years ago now), and just didn't "get it."

Awesome again! Some familiar scenes, and some I've not seen before.

I've camped often at Indiana Dunes State Park, but never been able to work up the fortitude to try it in Winter. You had a clearer view of the Chicago skyline than I've usually seen in Summer. There used to be a water tank atop the dune that overlooks the beach parking lots west of the pavilion, maybe 30 feet high, with steps and an observation platform; it provided some greatl views. I was disappointed that they removed the tank when they revamped the water system.
