You found my favorite perch on Queen Anne looking East out over Lake Union and Eastlake. Now imagine that on a clear day with the Cascade mountains perfectly framing the background.

Seattle really is beautiful, I remember how green it was when I was there. Great photos, I really liked #6.

Seattle is indeed talented.

Something about the place just speaks of skilled, value added work - people doing what they enjoy, to the benefit of society and producing a profit if possible. White collar (Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing, the universities, etc) and blue collar (also Boeing and other aviation, wood products, etc).

Not sure if anyone else gets this feeling.

Gorgeous shots. It seems like a cross between Vancouver and Calgary to me. It feels less glassy and airy than Vancouver, has a bit more of Calgary's weight.

Yeah, I love that viewpoint too. I stumbled across it while cruising around Queen Anne. I'd love to take some sunrise or sunset shots from there.

Good analogy SHH. It's very 'west coast' of course, but it some of the buildings..especially the variety of buildings give it somewhat of a Calgary feel.
