If anyone is looking for some bedtime reading material, the Planning Department has just posted a
243-page document regarding the proposed height increase. It concludes that a new environmental impact report is not needed, provides some details and updated renderings, and sets November 14, 2013 as the hearing date for approval.
- Old (approved) design:
- 31 stories
- 318 feet to roof (plus 24' mechanical; 342' total building height)
- 325 dwelling units
- 241 parking spaces
- New (proposed) design:
- 35 stories
- 360 feet to roof (plus 20' mechanical; 380' total building height)
- 398 dwelling units
- 241 parking spaces
So, the new proposal adds 4 stories, about 40 feet, and 73 more units. This would bring the building up to the maximum 360' height limit allowed under current zoning.
