[QUOTE=Tancredi;10203862]Beautiful photos!!! In Sicily it was history. The Northern Lights have also arrived in my region. Never happened! At least in the last few centuries..... :rana:
:fuggire:
Etna Volcano

Heard they could see them as far south as Florida.

We had 4 days of activity. but only one good day of viewing. Smoke from the forest fires the last 2 days. I've watched them when the were similar but this storm was extraordinary.

One of your Etna shots looks like it was from Catania.

Same for me

I suppose if I go north I'll see it at some point.

Currently it's 23C in Toronto, and somewhat overcast, as in the sun is covered, but blue skies are around, just veiled in a sheen of thin clouds.

It's worth it! I have seen them once. My parents were teaching on Bunibonibee Cree First Nation in Manitoba, and I went up there for... two Christmases, I think, they were there three years.

ANYHOW, saw them once in person. Green only. But it was cool.

This is a big problem. However, fortunately, Canada (except for some limited geographical areas) does not have a late spring climate with little rainfall. :SÌ:

It's even more incredible, because Florida is much further south than Sicily. Northern Florida is on the same latitude as Southern Tunisia or Northern Egypt. North America has more extreme natural phenomena than those found in Europe, even the Northern Lights.

Those photos are not mine, I found them on the internet. But Catania is located at the base of Etna. I imagine that the auroras could also have been seen in the skies of this city

A beautiful 25 degree day today. Yesterday was also nice (18 and sunny) but Saturday was miserable, only 14 and rainy.

A few pics of my pawpaw trees. The flowers are nearly finished, each of my small trees had at least a hundred flowers. The flowers have been open for a couple weeks and there have been plenty of flies buzzing around, so I didn't pollinate any by hand. Hopefully the flies did the job.

The little green parts are what turn into pawpaws, each flower can yield six or more fruits. I will know in a couple weeks if these have been fertilized

20C and mainly cloudy. Another cloudier day but at least temperature wise, things were better. Some sunny break throughout the day.

Low of 12C this morning.

The warmspot was Sarnia, ON at 27.9C.

Warmest low was Osoyoos, BC at 17.4C. I doubt this one holds however.

The 15.5C low at Lytton, BC yesterday did hold so that is the new high low for at least the next 24 hours.

Apologies for posting more photos than normal. There's a lot of life happening out there.

Hovering around 20 here. Clear skies today no smoke. weekend looks a bit cool but dry. Some rain Friday. (my wife is pissed- she is heading up planning for the 50th anniversary of the local Rowing club. The first event is Friday night).

But We did pick up our bedding plants for the season. and I did buy a new Apple tree so the weather will be good for planting. Nice also we are buying fewer annuals. More perennials and even more native species.

Is the water at love park supposed to be green and fountains off? In mid May? I wonder what’s going on there.

It's managed by the Toronto Parks Department. A brand new multi-million dark park that they've already given up on maintaining sounds pretty on brand for them.

21C with a humidex of 25 and a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon (after 2). It was another cloudy day before that.

Low of 14C this morning.

The warmspot was Osoyoos, BC at 26.9C.

Warmest lows were Moose Creek Wells, Ottawa (AAFC) and Toronto (Downtown), ON at 14.4C

Yesterday's low of 17.4C in Osoyoos did hold. So that is the new highest low this year.

We had a hazy overcast day with a bit of sun poking through. Warm enough and still dry.

Tuesday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 18 C, the low was 10 C.

Horsechestnut buds breaking open in my back yard. Certainly not because it's been warm and spring-like, but I guess eventually you have to leaf out no matter the conditions.

Cloud, drizzle, fog, and 11 at 12:40pm.

After gigantic utility bills all fall, winter and early spring in Calgary, I was finally able to turn the furnaces in my house off this past weekend, and they’ve been off all week.
I can’t seem to get comfortable when the house is 20C inside though. It’s a bit cool and not cool at the same time.

^ Great photos giallo & mcminson.

A bit warm and a bit hazy today in Vancouver, partly overcast, some rain is in the forecast.

However, I will give you the same skyline view again to record any progress.
