Been a bit busy lately... Here's the next installment, on another of Japan's second-tier cities (and the largest city on Kyūshū, the southernmost of the four main islands).

Great shots! Nice combo of street scenes, skyscrapers, and nature.
I took the ferry from Busan to Fukuoka and had a few hours in the city. I was lucky enough to see the annual sumo competition. Also, Fukuoka ramen is the best I've ever had.

yeah the ramen there is supposed to be great as well as some other foodie items. i really want to visit fukuoka area sometime - thx for showing it off!

Great pics of a thriving city that even Japanese people tend to forget. "Metro" Fukuoka as defined by what we're used to seeing with the US or Canadian Census would be a good bit above 5 million people.
