St. Petersburg, Russia- Summer Palace (Петр Дворец)

This is the third picture thread from a series of places my girlfriend and I visited over our vacation in June. Here, I decided to split up St. Petersburg pictures in two, one specifically for the Summer Palace and the other for the rest of St. Petersburg (although the Hermitage probably also deserves a thread of its own). Enjoy!

The entrance:

View of the grounds

This is supposed to symbloize Russia's defeat of Sweden that gave them the territory where St. Petersburg now stands.

We left on one of these funky Soviet era hydrofoils, good times

A little taste of "Peter"

More to come, promise!
