I headed to Oswego after my visit to Watertown. Oswego sits on the southern shore of Lake Ontario where the Oswego river enters the lake. Due to its location, there's plenty of snow in the winter. 300 inches can happen, and a couple of winters ago the city got 11 feet of snow in two weeks.
The population of the city is about 18,000. And the city is the county seat of Oswego County (pop ~ 120,000). Here is a link to more info if you're interested:

It's mid to late sunday afternoon, and the rain is letting up some. The Oswego River bisects the city, so I'll do the two halves (west side first).
